Videos of fire offering during Mahamudra Ocean Certainty transmission

On the evening of November 15th, 2009 a grand fire offering (Phudrab Chodpa) was held. The meaning and significance of this particular offering is twofold. It is first an offering to all the Buddhas, Bodisattvas and Dharma Protectors and is offered to them with utmost faith and devotion.Secondly it is a gift to all mother sentient beings and is given to all Pretas through perfect, sincere compassion.

The main Yidam of this ritual is (Chenrezik) Buddha of Compassion. The text used here was written by the Twelfth Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa at the request of the late Venerable Drupon Dechen Rinpoche. The Phudrab Chodpa ritual offering has been practiced frequently at Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat for many years. As always it is dedicated to limitless sentient beings so that they may enjoy both temporary and ultimate peace and harmony, and also to bring about harmony and balance within the global environments where sentient beings live.
