The transmission of the Mahamudra Ocean of Certainty from Guru Vajradhara Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa for Rinpoches, Khenpos, Lamas and Sangha began last September 4th 2009 at Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat. Up until December 29th, 2009, the transmission has included detailed instructions on Shamata and Vipassana practices including step by step practice transmissions. From December 30th, 2009 until January 7th 2010, for nine days, the transmission will focus on the core pith instructions on the introduction to the Nature of Mind. During these nine days all participants spend the morning session doing the Marpa Guru Yoga with elaborate offerings and with utmost sincere devotion to Marpa Kagyu lineage. The Great Marpa Lotsawa was the enlightened translator and founder of the Marpa Kagyu Lineage, or Mahamudra lineage, of Vajrayana Buddhism. Performing this guru yoga evokes the blessing of the Mahamudra Lineage Gurus in preparation to receive the introduction to the nature of mind. Each afternoon throughout these nine days, participants will receive the pith instructions on the Nature of Mind, from Guru Vajradhara Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa.
