On March 4th, 2012, the first of seven days of the Palpung Monlam Chenmo began. They coincided with the prayers dedicated to the late Very venerable Zopa Dorje. The dedication was also made for every sentient being as well as the environment of this world. The first day of the Palpung Monlam Chenmo was lead by Guru Vajradhara Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa and was conducted in the main shrine room of Palpung Sherabling Monastic seat. The great Mahapandita, the 8th Kenting Tai Situ Choekyi Jungney, established this monastic tradition at his seat, Palpung Thubten Choekhor Ling in Dherge more than 300 years ago. The Palpung Monlam has continued since then every year without interruption.
