The parinirvana of Traleg Kyabgon Rinpoche is a great loss to Buddhism, especially the Karma Kagyu lineage and the many devoted students directly connected to him.

A message of condolence on the day of Traleg Kyabgon Rinpoche's passing was conveyed from Guru Vajradhara Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa upon receiving the news in retreat. Guru Vajradhara Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa and his teacher conducted a ceremony for the swift rebirth of Traleg Kyabgon Rinpoche's reincarnation for the benefit of all beings.

Guru Vajradhara Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa composed an official message to the sangha of Traleg Kyabgon Rinpoche encouraging them to continue their practice and instructions they received from their teacher Traleg Kyabgon Rinpoche.

Guru Vajradhara Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa advised the Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat Sangha to perform prayers and offerings for Traleg Kyabgon Rinpoche for 49 days. Two retreat centers are continuing their dedication prayers for Traleg Kyabgon Rinpoche's rebirth.
