Dharma Tour of Guru Vajradhara Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa from September 4-15, 2012 at the request of Spiti and Hangrong Valley in Kinaur

On the morning of September 4th Rinpoche departed from Palpung Sherabling Monastic seat escorted by representatives who came from Kinaur. They spent the first night in Kullu Manali and next day went on the way to TABO, Spiti. Many devotees there came to the road to receive blessing and oral transmission of MANI mantra. That same evening Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa and entourage arrived at TABO Monastery in Spiti where there was a traditional elaborate welcome ceremony lead by the TABO Geshey la, the Sangha and local people.

On September 6th Tai Situpa Rinpoche bestowed the Long Live Empowerment of Buddha Amitayus and teachings at TABO Monastery as requested by the monastery and local devotees. Everyone received the blessing of Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa. That afternoon, the group departed toward Chango Valley where they were greeted with an elaborate welcome ceremony which had been prepared by the people of Chango and the Sangha from Kamtsang Yeshe Rabgye Ling.

Tai Situpa Rinpoche stayed at the Monastery from September 7-9 bestowing Empowerments as the conclusion of the ongoing MANI DHONGDRUB. At that time he also gave extensive teachings and the devoted local public offered local dances and songs. Rinpoche also visited several other monasteries located in same area.

On September 9th Rinpoche departed from Chango Valley and arrived that afternoon in the Nako Valley where the local monastery Sangha and devoted public welcomed Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa. On the morning of the 10th Rinpoche bestowed an Empowerment and teaching for people in that area.

On September 11th Rinpoche left Nako Valley and on the way to the Tirasang cave, stopped in Liyo valley, Tsuling valley and Hango valley where the people received blessings and oral transmissions on the Chenrayzik Mantra. Lunch was offered along the three hour walk to the TIRASANG Cave of Guru Padmasambhava and once there local devotees welcomed Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa and conducted Tsok of Guru Rinpoche at the holy cave. Preparations of the cave were made by the Mr D.S Negi Family and local people. That night Chamgo Kenting Tai Situpa Rinpoche stayed at the Holy Cave.

On September 12th Rinpoche departed from Tirasang and arrived in the Puh Valley where the Monastery Sangha and local devotees welcomed him elaborately and received an empowerment, teaching and blessing. That evening was spent in the Puh Valley.

The group departed the Puh Valley on September 13th and on the way stopped in Kapal valley where Rinpoche blessed the local monastery and spoke to the local people about the practice of Buddha Dharma in general and specifically on the importance of the practices of the Buddha of Compassion (Chenrezik). Late the same evening they arrived at Rampur. On September 14th they arrived at Kullu and spent the night there.

On the morning of the 15th Rinpoche visited Kamtsang Yeshe Rabgye Ling Nunnery at Kullu and received an elaborate welcome ceremony prepared by the Nuns and local people. Soon after their arrival Rinpoche bestowed an empowerment and teaching for the Public and Sangha. Late that same afternoon they set out from Kullu for Palpug Sherabling Monastic Seat.
