On October 2nd 2012, Guru Vajradhara Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa along with his Tutor Lama Lodoe and an entourage travelled by train from New Delhi arriving at Bodhgaya early morning October 3rd. The administration of Tergar Monastery was at the train station to welcome them and then escorted them to Tergar Monastery where they were warmly greeted by the Sangha in the traditional way.

Every day while there, from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM for four consecutive days, Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa with more than 200 monks, conducted extensive prayers. Specifically they recited One-Hundred-And-Eight repetitions of the Invocation and Offering Puja to Lord Buddha surrounded by the Sixteen Arhats and to the Four Heavenly Protector Kings. Every day they also made offerings of thousands of butter lamps dedicating them to the 1000th anniversary of the birth of Lord Marpa Lotsawa and to world peace.

Very early every morning while staying at Tergar, Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa visited the Bodhgaya stupa where he did circumambulations for world peace before the crowed would arrive.

During the visit to Bodhgaya, Kenting Tai Situpa and the Palpung Labrang also made traditional offerings for the Sangha at Tergar Monastery as well as Dhana to Shechen Monastery Nyingmapa, Geluk Monastery etc. Rinpoche also gave an elaborate teaching and provided encouragement to the administration and Sangha of Tergar Monastery on how to uphold Dharma activities at Tergar during the absence of the Very Venerable Mingyur Rinpoche.

In addition, Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa visited the grounds of the Drogon Kagyu Monlam assembly, which is near Tergar Monsatery, and blessed the on-going works there.

On the morning of October 8th, Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa went to pay homage to the holiest Buddha Statue of all where he made offerings of numerous medicinal fruits and clothes to Lord Buddha’s image. There he recited the Invocation and Offering Puja of Lord Buddha Surrounded by the Sixteen Arhats which he dedicated to the 1000th anniversary of the birth of Lord Marpa Lotsawa and to world peace.

Afterwards he visited the Bodhi Tree under which he sat for one hour finally finishing with a dedication for the 1000th anniversary of the birth of Lord Marpa Lotsawa and to world peace.

On the afternoon of October 9th Rinpoche departed on a flight from Varanasi to New Delhi.
