On the 16th of July 2015 at Palung Sherabling Monastic Seat, Guru Vajradhara Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa bestowed the empowerment of Tsasum Drildrup after completing his extensive retreat. The empowerment is the same treasure that was revealed by the 3rd Gyalwang Karmapa Rangjung Dorje in the 14th century. This particular empowerment is also in the Rinchen Terzod.

The empowerment this time was organized because H.H 17th Gyalwang Karmapa requested Guru Vajradhara to conduct the empowerment mainly for those Lamas who will join the upcoming Long Live ceremony for H.H The 14th Dalai Lama in Bodhgaya which will be organized by H.H 17th Gyalwang Karmapa.
