As organized every year with the permission from the Ministry of Health, Government of Himachal Pradesh, Palpung Munishasan Dharmachakra Sangh arranged a free medical eye camp at Recong Peo Regional Hospital District Kinnaur in Himachal Pradesh, India from the 21th to 23th of June 2016.

Lama Tashi Dhondup (head of Palpung Sherabling Health Center) travelled to the eye camp in Kinnaur with full support and a complete medical team from the Rotary Eye Hospital Maranda, Palampur Himachal Pradesh headed by Dr S.K. Sharma (Director), Dr Rohit Sharma (Eye Surgeon) and Dr Ashish Gupta (Eye Surgeon).

The free medical eye camp of 2016 was completed as part of the continuation of the selfless activity of Guru Vajradhara Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa. This year a total of 1250 people came for check-up at the free medical eye camp this year. Some patients needed lens glasses, some needed medicine and some needed operations. 395 patients received lens glasses and 72 patients had eye operations. This time team set a record in India to operate an eye of 99 years old man. All the required operations were done at Recong Peo's Regional Hospital.
