At the first signs of dawn on February 24 2020, the first day of the Tibetan new year 2147 in the sign of the Male Iron Mouse, the entire Palpung Sherabling monastic community observed this auspicious beginning with a smoke offering puja, which included offerings and praises to the Three Roots to invoke their activity and an exhortation by the power of the truth to the oath-bound Dharma protectors.

When the puja was completed, local Tibetan, Himalayan as well as international devotees who gathered for the occasion were seated in rows according to the traditional seating arrangement. After that, Guru Vajradhara arrived at the temple and everyone enjoyed an auspicious feast of ceremonial tea and sweet rice, along with traditional elaborate arrangements of food offerings.

The auspicious and joyful Male Iron Mouse Losar celebration was concluded by Guru Vajradhara bestowing individual blessings to everyone present.
