At the request of the Nyingma Monastery at Tso Pema, on March 2, 2020 Guru Vajradhara the 12th Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa visited this supreme sacred place of the great Lotus-born Guru Rinpoche, the second Buddha of Orgyen who clears away the darkness for all beings in these degenerate times. As he arrived at the Palace of the Heruka of Orgyen, he was welcomed at the Monastery by a golden procession of its monks, along with many other monastic and lay devotees.

On the following day, Guru Vajradhara graced the sadhana ritual of the great Dharma festival of the Tenth Day Guru Rinpoche Ceremony at the Monastery. In the afternoon of the same day, he was invited by Ontrul Rinpoche and his entire monastic community to visit the Wogmin Thubten Shedrup Ling Monastery. They escorted Guru Vajradhara into its main shrine hall and offered him a mandala, along with representations of enlightened body, speech and mind. In the evening, Guru Vajradhara was the chief guest at the Himalayan Culture Festival organized by the Lahaul & Spiti Eco Tourism Society, where he gave a talk about the importance of education and the necessity to preserve and promote both ancient and modern culture.

On the next day, Guru Vajradhara graced the main part of the Tenth Day Guru Rinpoche Ceremony. In the afternoon he was invited to visit the Dzigar Tashi Thongyang Monastery, where he gave blessings to its monks and all the monastic and lay devotees gathered there, along with advice on both worldly and spiritual matters.

At the Tso Pema Peace Garden, on March 5 Guru Vajradhara bestowed the long life empowerment of Könchok Chidü by the great emanated tertön Rigzin Jatsön Nyingpo to an audience of over five thousand devotees, which included monastics from the neighbouring monasteries and the local community, as well as followers from various regions such as Lahaul, Spiti, and Lower and Upper Kinnaur. He also gave an extensive teaching by first introducing the Dharma and sacred Dharma and then relating that to encouraging everyone to continually work on becoming a better person, because a good heart is the true source of happiness. With that, all the various Dharma connections of Guru Vajradhara’s visit to Tso Pema were successfully established.
