The Kagyupa International Monlam Trust requested Guru Vajradhara to perform the Red Crown Ceremony as part of the program of the 38th Kagyu Monlam Chenmo. In response to this request, Guru Vajradhara His Holiness the 12th Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa conducted the Red Crown Ceremony that liberates upon seeing at 8:30 in the morning on January 16, 2024, at the Kagyu Monlam Pavilion in Bodhgaya. The ceremony took place in front of an audience of more than ten thousand tulkus, lamas, khenpos, monks, nuns, and lay devotees who had gathered there from all over the world.

The program commenced with His Eminence Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche's explanation of the Red Crown That Brings Liberation Upon Seeing in Tibetan, followed by His Eminence Chungpo Gyalton Rinpoche's explanation of the ceremony in English. This sacred event culminated with Guru Vajradhara performing the actual Red Crown Ceremony, considered the supreme of all magnetizing activities.
