In response to the repeated requests of His Eminence Jamgön Kongtrul Rinpoche's monastic seat Pullahari and numerous other associated monasteries in India, Nepal, and Bhutan, Guru Vajradhara His Holiness the 12th Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa bestowed Getsul (novice) ordination upon 534 male and female devotees from all over the world over three days from January 26 to 28, 2024.

The ceremony took place in the expansive main temple of the Tergar Monastery at the supreme sacred place of Bodhgaya, the true central region in terms of Dharma as well as geography. Guru Vajradhara, himself a glorious upholder of the monastic vows, performed the ritual of bestowing the Getsul ordination according to the Vinaya doctrine. He acted as both the ordaining preceptor and ceremonial master, assisted by an assembly of the required number of monks serving as the interviewer, assistant preceptor, and so forth.

On January 29 and 30, Guru Vajradhara, along with the mandatory number of assisting monks, bestowed Gelong (full) ordination upon 133 monastics through the four-fold ritual of one request and three proclamations. Thus, a total of 667 male and female devotees accomplished the journey towards becoming supreme vessels for reaching the ultimate excellence of liberation.
