In this lifetime, Kenting Tai Situpa appeared as the Pang Khenchen Ozer Lama. Ozer Lama was a holder of the Kadampa lineage of Mind Training, the lineage of the great Chekawa.
The Kadampa lineage was brought to Tibet by the Indian master Atisha. It emphasized a gradual path to enlightenment, categorized into progressive stages and practices. The Kadampa tradition also focused on mind training, and the development of bodhicitta. It encourage practitioners to live by the monastic code (vinaya).
