The three-day consecration ceremony was held from Feb. 12 to Feb. 14, 2008. On Feb. 14th, the Very Venerable Yongye Mingyur Dorje Rinpoche received the official acceptance documents from the 12th Kenting Tai Situpa. These documents declare Tergar Rigzin Khachod Dhargye Ling Monastery, the seat of the 7th Yonge Migyur Rinpoche, to be an official branch of Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat of the Palpung congregation of Vajrayana Buddhism.
