On 14th Febuary,2008 Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat celebrated the 55th Birthday of Kenting Tai Situpa while Kenting Tai Situpa Rinpoche visited Bodhgaya, India. Rinpoches, Lamas, Monks, Nuns and lay devotees made prayers and offerings of a traditional ceremony which included a beautiful gigantic western-style cake which was decorated by the host, , in front of a photograph of Kenting Tai Situpa. Various participants also made offerings of song in different languages. The presiding Rinpoche for the birthday celebration at Palpung Sherabling Monastic seat was the Venerable Shagam Rinpoche who led the celebration with moving devotion.
