On the 15th day of the first lunar month of the Tibetan Calendar a group of about forty Lamas conducted the annual prayers of the KAGYU GURTSO (Ocean of secret Songs). In this case, the word “Lama” refers to monks who have completed the traditional three year and three month retreat. The prayers were held in the main Vajra Crown Hall of Palpung Sherabling according Palpung Monastic traditions manual. The Kagyu Gurtso is a collection of all the Vajra songs composed by the great masters of the Kagyu Lineage.
