On May 10th, 2008, Kenting Tai Situpa visited His Holiness the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa prior to His Holiness's first-ever overseas tour.

Kenting Tai Situpa expressed his prayers for a very successful Dharma tour for the benefit of many sentient beings as well as for His Holiness's good health throughout the visit.
