On May 15th, in the main courtyard of Palpung Sherabling Monastic seat, all the sangha gathered headed by Kenting Tai Situpa, to conduct prayers and to offer ten thousand butter lamps. This action is dedicated for the thousands of people who have lost their lives recently as a result of the hurricane in Irrawaddy and other areas of Burma, the Earthquake in Sichuan and other areas of China, the blast in Jaipur, India and as a result of all the natural disasters and conflicts that are currently affecting the lives of millions across the globe. Kenting Tai Situpa sends his blessings and prayers for the affected people and for other forms of life also affected. The natural disasters of this planet are inherently connected with those who live on this world. So it is important that all human beings practice and pray for the betterment of everyone’s lives as well as for the creation of a harmonious environment.
