13th Anniversary celebration of Palpung Lungrig Jampal Ling Buddhist Institute was conducted on August 5th 2008, the day of the Buddha's first turning of the wheel of Dharma following his Enlightenment. The day’s events included many traditional Dharma discussions on various subjects by senior students including philosophical debates and numerous Butter Lamp offerings. At the same time, Senior Khenpos who graduated from Palpung Lungrig Jampal Ling, received the official Khenpo Degree from Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa. The Khenpos named here were Khenpo Gyaltsen Phuntsok, Khenpo Pema and Khenpo Karma Tenzin.

That same day, Tsering Paldhen and Sonam Chopal were appointed Khenpos charged with teaching in Palpung Lungrig Jampal Ling. Both of them are also senior graduate students with several years of experience assisting the pervious Khenpos.

Additionally students who graduated this year from Palpung Lungrig Jampal Ling Buddhist Institute received certificates from Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa.

Finally all Khenpos and students of Palpung Lungrig Jampal Ling received most valuable teachings and advice from Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa that day.
