Yearly Palpung Sherabling school exams for young monks run from June 15 -21, 2009 for one week. The school monks are tested on various subjects including the English and Hindi. So far, the school has only five classes but soon both the curriculum and the facilities will be upgraded.

From June 19 -21 for three days exams are also held for younger monks who are in ritual and ceremonial training plus various other subjects, including Tibetan Grammar, Basic astrology and mathmatics as well as Tibetan calligraphy. The main concern in the lives of these monks is the study of rituals, shrine decoration, mandalas, music and chanting according Palpung Monastic Institution tradition.
