The celebration of His Holiness the 17th Karmapa's 25th Birthday took place in Dharamsala on June 26th, 2009. The celebration began at 10:00 am when His Holiness entered the main shrine and was greeted by His Eminence Gyaltsab Rinpoche and by many important dignitaries. Prayers began once His Holiness was seated on his throne.

Representatives from many monasteries were in attendance to offer their respects. Among them were Tulkus, Khenpos and several administrators from Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat who made an elaborate manadala offering on behalf of Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa , for His Holiness' long life and for the spread of his Buddha activities for the benefit all sentient beings.
