On the 30th of August, 2009 the Shangpa Kagyu Lineage transmission was completed. It included reading transmissions, Empowerments and detailed instructions given by the Vajradhara Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa at Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat at the request of H.E Kaybje Kalu Rinpoche. Upon completing the entire transmission Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa Rinpoche followed by providing sacred advice to all participants on the importance and value of maintaining a state of contentment and in making an effort to be happy in life.

Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa also put great emphasis upon and encouraged His Eminence Kabje Kalu Rinpoches to carry on his great vision for the preservation and propagation of the eight practice lineages of Vajrayana Buddhism and specifically for the propagation of the Shangpa Kagyu Lineage as carried out by previous emanations of Kyabje Kalu Rinpoche.

The final day of the transmission occured on 10th day of the 7th lunar month according to the Kalachakra calendar. On that day several auspicious signs occurred including the appearance of a beautiful rainbow surrounding Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat during the dedication prayers for this entire transmission.

On the monring of August 31, 2009, long life prayers and a grand Mandala were offered by H.E Kyabje Kalu Rinpoche to Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa. Other Rinpoches and devotees who also attended for Shangpa Kagu Lineage transmission over the last 19 days followed with personal offerings.
