From 4:00 am to 9:00 am on the 8th day of the first lunar month (February 22nd this year), the Sangha of Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat conducted the Sang and Long-Life pujas in celebration of the 57th Birthday of Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa. At 9:30 am Rinpoche was invited to his throne and the Very Venerable Gangkar Rinpoche and the Very Venerable Gyalton Rinpoche, followed by all the Tulkus, Sangha and devotees present, made a traditional Mandala offering. At the same time, traditional Tibetan Tea and saffron Rice was served to everyone.

From 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm a Traditional western style cake ceremony took place. The young monks of Palpung Sherabling School offered artistic performances in the courtyard of the Main Monastery. Finally there was a dedication of long life prayers for Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa.
