On the morining of May 23rd at Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat, Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa granted the hair cutting ceremony to a young Rinpoche who is the reincarnation of the elder son of the previous Nyeshang Lama Gyalpo Rinpoche. Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa recently recognized this Tulku through his enlightened mind following the request of Gyalpo Rinpoche’s devotees in Nepal.

This same morning 24 Tulkus, monks and 15 nuns completed the traditional three-year retreat at Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat. Early that morning they held ceremonies in the two retreat centers and were then warmly welcomed into the Main monastery of Palpung Sherabling after which they all received blessing from Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa in his audience room with traditional tea ceremony. Following the tea ceremony Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa gave them very precious advice on how to serve the Buddha, the lineage of the Buddha and all sentient beings, in their roles as Tulkus and Lamas. All the Tulkus and Lamas were moved by the nectar of advice from their Guru Vajradhara.

Late that afternoon on the same day, on the request of devotees from Nepal, Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa performed Red Vajra crown ceremony witnessed by hundreds of devotees. Those present received the blessing of the Crown with their Guru Vajradhara in the main shrine hall of Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat. The newly recognized Tulku and along with the retreat Tulkus and Lamas were also present for this blessing.
