On June 2th, 2010 all the Tulkus, Lamas, monks and nuns of Palpung Sherabling conducted the Jangchok Puja on the 49th day since the earthquake tragedy took place in Kyegudo.

This Jangchok Puja was primarily dedicated for the people who lost their lives in this tragedy. Under the Buddhist point of view the 49th day after death is the end of the intermediate period between incarnations (Bardo). It is at this point which the consciousness moves to the next birth according the law of Karma (Causes and conditions). The puja was thus dedicated so that victims of the earthquake may be born in the realm of Pure Land and continue to conduct more enlightened activities.
