NCC (National Candidate Cadet) of the Indian Army requested that Palpung Sherabling monastery hold a class to teach a brief introduction on Buddhism and Monastic Life.

The Venerable Khenpo Pema Thubten Negi of Palpung Lung rig Jampal Ling Monastic College gave the introduction on the teachings which manifested from Lord Buddha Shakyamuni.

Venerable Khenpo Pema took an hour from his busy schedule each day, to elaborate teachings on the Laws of Karma and suffering and non-violence to the NCC Students who came from all over India. Khenpo also provided insightful answers to all the questions that arose in students minds.

A total of 1000 students participated in this series of classes with 125 students per day attending the daily talk. The teaching series ran from June 9th, 2010 through June 23rd, 2010 for 8 days.
