On March 3, 2011 the elaborate Mahakala Lama dance was performed following several days of Mahakala Puja conducted by the 550 monks of Palpung Sherabling　Monastic Seat. These activities marked the end of the 2010 lunar year and prepared the welcoming of the new lunar year in 2011. Vajradhara Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa was joined by an honored guest that day, Her Excellency Rani Siabha who is a former member of Parliament in Delhi and also the wife of His Excellency Raja Vir Bhadra Singh Union Minister of Steel. The festivities also included dignitaries and many devotees from near and far who came to have the blessing of the sacred Mahakala Lama Dance.

On March 4, 2011 the Red Vajra Crown ceremony with Long Life Empowerment was performed by Vajradhara Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa at the main Monastery of Palpung Sherabling. This and the preceeding Mahakala Puja with Mahakala dance were dedicated to all humanity to have happy, healthy and prosperous lives; to become respectful responsible human beings who protect wild life and the environment, and who are peace loving. Above all it was dedicated to a successful spiritual journey for each individual life according their respective faith. May this very happy New Year of the Female Rabbit bring all sentient beings closer to fully awakened enlightenment.
