On the morning of February 17, 2012 at 7:00 AM the cremation of the late Very Venerable Zopa Dorje's holy body began with an elaborate ceremony performed from the four directions. It was lead by Guru Vajradhara Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa, Tulkus, Khenpos, Lamas, monks and nuns of Palpung Sherabling. The weather was perfectly beautiful on this day as it always is when a great practitioners' holy body is cremated. Many devotees from various areas within India and outside India who are living or staying at Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat paid their final respects with white scarves.
