On 10 February 2013, the Red Vajra Crown ceremony and Buddha Amitayu Empowerment was given by Guru Vajradhara Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa which is where traditionally every devotee receives blessing to welcome the New Year in the most holy and auspicious way so that the whole year can be with good health, prosperity and all activities can be conducted as per spiritual means. On 18 February 2013 all the Sangha of Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat and affiliated Palpung Dharma centers and monasteries celebrated the 59th Birthday celebration (according to international counting) of Guru Vajradhara Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa.
