On 27th May 2013, the three-day Padma Vajra Puja began at Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat in India. On 29th May 2013, in the presence of Vajradhara, the 12th Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa, the Padma Vajra puja with Jangchog was mainly dedicated to all deceased sentient beings. In particular, each year many devotees around the world request prayers from Guru Vajradhara Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa for their beloved family members who are deceased and it becomes a long list at the end of the year. The purpose of the three day Puja with Jangchog from Guru Vajradhara is to purify all the negativeness of those who have passed on by natural or un-natural, timely or untimely reasons and prayers are made that they may be reborn in a higher realm acquainted with the noble Dharma and achieve the ultimate liberation.
