On the evening of 22 June 2013 at the main courtyard of Palpung Sherabling Monastic seat under the blessing of Guru Vajradhara Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa with all the Sangha, prayers and 10,000 butter lamp offerings were organized and dedicated for the recent victims of the Himalayan flood in India. The prayers and offering of butter lamps are mainly dedicated to the people who lost their lives in this tragedy so that those people may obtain good rebirth, and also for those people who are still trapped in the flooding and landslides so that they may be rescued and safe. Finally, sincere dedication is made so that any kind of natural or man-made disaster of any kind in any part of the world may never be repeated again and that the balance of the elements is maintained. May all living beings have the right intention and action to benefit all living beings and the global environment.
