On 12 July 2013 at the courtyard of the main monastery of Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat, the fifth group of fully qualified Khenpos who had completed their responsibilities at Palpung Jampal Lungrig Ling Higher Buddhist studies received the certificate of Khenpo from Guru Vajradhara Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa. The group of Lopon who had completed their responsibilities as Lopon received the formal title of Khenpo following the traditional ceremony. A group of students who recently completed nine years of study received certificates and among this group a few of them were appointed as new Lopon for Palpung Jampal Lungrig Ling Higher Buddhist Studies. A new discipline master and assistant has been appointed for the period of one year. At the conclusion of the ceremony a most enlightening teaching and advice was given by Guru Vajradhara Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa for the Khenpos and students on this very auspicious day of the first turning of the wheel of Dharma at Sarnath, Varanasi by Lord Buddha.
