Palpung Dhon Nyi Norbu Gatsal Ling Higher Studies of Medicine, Astrology, Tibetan Grammar, Poetry and Sanskrit has 43 students that are monks and nuns from various monasteries but mainly from Palpung Sherab Ling Monastic Seat. By the blessing of Guru Vajradhara Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa, the monks and nuns are receiving unbroken teachings and transmissions of Tibetan Medicine, Astrology, Tibetan Grammar, Poetry and Sanskrit from renowned scholar Ati Sherab Nyima and Eva Sonam Rinchen and preserving the lineage which flourished at Palpung Thubten Choeskhor Ling during the time of the great Mahapandit the 8th Kenting Tai Situpa Choekyi Jungney.

On the 14th of July 2013 at the main shrine hall, students who placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd position in the yearly exam received prizes and blessings directly from Guru Vajradhara Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa. At the end of the ceremony, teachers and students also received very precise instructions from Guru Vajradhara Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa on how to uphold the lineage of all this knowledge according to the lineage of Palpung during the time of the great Mahapandit the 8th Kenting Tai Situpa Choekyi Jungney.
