On the 22nd of November 2013, the first of ten days of the Guru Rinpoche grand ceremony was held at Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat with all the ordained Sangha. On the first day of this ten day ceremony, Guru Vajradhara Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa blessed the grand ceremony and made very special prayers and offering of one hundred thousand butter lamps. The prayers and lamps were dedicated mainly for the more than five thousand people who lost their lives recently in the devastating typhoon in the Phillipines and also for those family members who are still suffering as a result of this disaster. May they receive the blessings from this dedication and swiftly regain the ability to continue on with their lives.
