On the 25th of November 2013, His Excellency Sikyong Lobsang Sangay visited Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat and met Guru Vajradhara Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa where a warm welcome ceremony was conducted by the Sangha and public. After having a tea ceremony and spending some time with Guru Vajradhara, both His Excellency Sikyong Lobsang Sangay and Guru Vajradhara came to the stage and announced to the Sangha the results of the Annual Exam by the Gyudra Section of Monks. His Excellency described to the Sangha and the public his first encounter with Guru Vajradhara which was in 1989 in Dehli during the "Active Peace Pilgrimage" organized by Guru Vajradhara Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa. At that time, His Excellency was in the Tibetan youth organization and was assisting the organization of Tibetans in the noble activities of The Pilgrimage of Active Peace - One World for Humanity.
