According to tradition, the annual grand Mahakala Puja and Mahakala Vajra Nyitham (lama dance) was conducted at the end of the lunar year. This year the Mahakala Vajra Nyitham (lama dance) was performed on the 27th of February 2014 without masks and according to tradition the actual Mahakala Vajra Nyitham (lama dance) was performed on the 27th of February 2014 at Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat.
