The lineage of full ordination (bhikku) is one of the most important transmissions starting from Lord Buddha Shakyamuni and existing up to the current respected ordained sangha of the entire Buddhist community. In relation to the Kagyu lineage starting from Lord Gampopa up to the current lineage masters, the pure lineage of ordination has continued and been passed on from master to disciple.

On the 16th of March 2014, the day of Buddha’s Great Miracles, His Eminence the 4th Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche along with two Tulkus received the full ordination (bhikku) from Guru Vajradhara Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa at the most holy place of Bodhgaya.
