Upon receiving numerous requests from WALUBI (the All-Indonesia Federation of Buddhist Organizations) and other organizations and individuals, Guru Vajradhara His Holiness the 12th Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa made a historic visit to Indonesia. He was greeted with immense joy and devotion upon his arrival at Jakarta International Airport on October 18, 2023. An elaborate golden procession, consisting of directors of WALUBI, representatives from various Karma Kagyu Dharma centers, as well as hundreds of local and visiting monastics and lay devotees, warmly welcomed him.

From October 20 to 22, Guru Vajradhara delivered profound Dharma teachings and empowerment in the Grand Ballroom at the Jakarta International Expo. The audience, comprised of approximately one thousand five hundred Dharma students, had the privilege of participating in these events, which were jointly organized by WALUBI and Palpung Indonesia.

On the first day of the program, Guru Vajradhara expounded on the topic of "Dharma and Sacred Dharma." During this teaching, he elucidated the process of developing a way of thinking and conduct that aligns with the sacred Dharma without conflicting with the right worldly view.

On the second day, Guru Vajradhara imparted meditation instructions on various methods of shamatha meditation, designed to stabilize the mind. He also provided a teaching on "Awakening the Buddha Potential," where he emphasized the significance of cultivating equality of self and others, as well as the importance of training our minds in loving kindness, compassion, and bodhichitta. Additionally, he conveyed the reading transmission and provided instructions on the meditation of Avalokiteshvara and the six-syllable mantra OM MANI PEME HUNG.

On the final day of the program in Jakarta, Guru Vajradhara brought this sacred transmission, tailored to the needs of the disciples, to a close. He began by introducing the concept of taking refuge, which marks the initial steps on the path to liberation. Subsequently, he conferred the refuge vows to those who desired to receive them. To conclude, he bestowed the longevity empowerment of the Pema Öbar (Lotus Shining Light) aspect of Guru Rinpoche from the Gathering of All Jewels cycle.
