On November 3, 2023, the day of Buddha Shakyamuni's descent from Tushita heaven, a cohort from the second batch of medicine and astrology graduates embarked on a six-month retreat at Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat's Shangpa Retreat Centre. At the outset, all the retreatants conducted rituals to dispel obstacles. Subsequently, the physicians dedicated themselves to the practices encompassing the outer, inner, and secret levels of the guru yoga of Yuthok Yönten Gönpo, while the astrologers immersed themselves in the practices of the Five Buddha Families mandala of Manjushri and Red Sarasvati.
