The general manager of Tergar Osel Ling Monastery Lama Lekshey, who grew up in the cool shade of Guru Vajradhara H.H. the 12th Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa's compassion and rendered an immense service to the Buddhadharma, passed away on November 22, 2023. The same day, his body was brought to Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat, where Guru Vajradhara and all the monastic seat's tulkus and lamas performed Phowa, groups of monks from different departments took turns in conducting prayers for him, and the lamas in three year retreat held the prayers to mark the seventh day after his passing. On the third day after his passing, which fell on November 24, tulkus, lamas, khenpos, and the entire monastic community performed a whole day Vajrasattva offering ritual for the deceased dedicated for the completion of his path and his liberation. They also conducted the tradition memorial ceremonies, astrological rites, and all the required rituals. On November 26, Lama Lekshey's body was cremated based on mandala rituals of Protector Akshobhya and Glorious Vajrasattva, the supreme deities that protect against birth in lower realms.
