From November 12 to December 24, 2023, the astrologer Dorje, a direct disciple of the late great master astrologer Gen Tsewang Namgyal visited Palpung Sherabing Monastic Seat's University of Buddhist Sciences. During his visit, he imparted profound instructions on the astrological system of the Kalachakra Tantra to the university's astrology students and astrologers.

As part of Kalachakra Tantra calendrical calculations, he provided teachings on the calculations of solar and lunar eclipses, the changes of seasons, the techniques for determining elemental conjunctions of stars and planets, among other topics. The astrologer Dorje not only transmitted the pith instructions of the science of Tibetan astrology and offered his guidance on its practical application, but he also undertook the responsibility of comparing various versions of the essential astrological treatises, which he subsequently revised and corrected.
