At 10 am on January 10, 2024, Guru Vajradhara H.H. the 12th Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa paid a visit to the sacred Mahabodhi Temple. Accompanying him were Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche, Chungpo Gyalton Rinpoche, and Tsoknyi Rinpoche. Upon arrival, an elaborate reception awaited him at the main gate, hosted by the Secretary of the Bodhgaya Temple Management Committee, the Temple's Head Monk, and other dignitaries.
Guru Vajradhara commenced his visit by paying homage to the Buddha Shakyamuni statue, the central figure within the Mahabodhi stupa. After presenting a new set of robes to the Buddha statue and filling the alms bowl, he performed the ritual of offerings and aspiration prayers to commemorate the Buddha's kindness. Subsequently, Guru Vajradhara led prayers before the bodhi tree, dedicated for the flourishing of the Buddha's teachings and the welfare of all sentient beings. Following these prayers, he conducted both outer and inner circumambulations around the sacred stupa.
