Kagyu Gunchoe is a month-long winter Buddhist philosophical debate gathering attended by monastic colleges from various Kagyu monasteries in India, Nepal and Bhutan. Different monastic colleges take turns organizing this program. This year, following tradition, the Tsurphu Labrang provided the resources, and it was the Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat's Lunrig Jampal Ling Monastic College's turn to undertake the responsibility for event organization.
Upon the completion of all sessions of the Kagyu Gunchoe, on the evening of January 11, 2024, Guru Vajradhara His Holiness the 12th Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa presided over the final all-night debate session of this gathering.
