Upon hearing the sad news that the honorable Karma Dondrub, the father of His Holiness Karmapa Ogyen Drodul Trinley Dorje, had passed away, memorial offerings and prayers are being conducted at Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat. These include prayers invoking the power of truth for the pacification of any obstacles to His Holiness's esteemed father's realization of the bhumis and the paths.

On May 23, 2024, the day of His Holiness's honorable father's passing, the entire monastic community along with everyone who gathered to observe the commemoration of the three holy events in Lord Buddha's life, offered prayers and dedications for him.

On the following day, after offering ten thousand butter lamps and arranging traditional offering substances, the monastic seat's tulkus, lamas, khenpos, and the entire monastic community conducted memorial offerings and prayers based on the mandala of Protector Akshobhya.

At the monastic seat's branch, Palpung Yeshi Rabgyeling Nunnery, the nunnery's khenpos, teachers, and the nuns' community, are also conducting prayers. Furthermore, rituals during the period of forty-nine days after His Holiness's father's passing are being held at the monastic seat's three-year retreat center.
