In response to repeated requests from community leaders and associations of the Palrabling Tibetan settlement in Dobhi, located in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh, Guru Vajradhara His Holiness the 12th Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa visited the settlement on July 21, 2024. The settlement leaders accompanied Guru Vajradhara during the final leg of his journey. Upon his arrival, he was warmly received by a troupe of masked dancers and an elaborate golden procession.

In the presence of several thousand Tibetan and Himalayan devotees from Palrabling, other Tibetan settlements within the Kullu district, as well as neighboring areas and beyond, Guru Vajradhara bestowed the long life empowerment according to the tradition of Machik Drubpe Gyalmo and the reading transmission of the Medicine Buddha name mantra. He also generously provided a teaching on cultivating both temporary and ultimate virtue, starting with a general introduction to Buddhism. This was followed by crucial points of mind training practice, such as equalizing self and others and cherishing others more than oneself.

Furthermore, Guru Vajradhara emphasized the importance of nurturing a good heart, honesty, integrity, and steadfastness. He concluded by encouraging everyone to regard the preservation of the Tibetan religion and culture as a personal responsibility.
