Devoted disciples who had traveled from various countries around the world to receive Guru Vajradhara His Holiness the 12th Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa's sacred transmission of Lord Marpa's dohas, the Marpa empowerment, and the reading transmission of the Marpa Guru Yoga participated in the Marpa Guru Yoga retreat.
Held from November 10 to 17, 2024, at Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat in India, the retreat was organized by the Palpung Institute of Buddhist Studies. The monastic seat's chief chanting master Lama Dönme provided detailed guidance to the retreatants on the visualization sequences of the generation and completion stages, mantra recitations, and meditations associated with the Marpa Guru Yoga sadhana. He also offered precise instructions on the sequence of liturgical chanting and demonstrated the proper performance of associated mudras.
Throughout the daily sessions, both master and disciples engaged in Lord Marpa's Guru Yoga practice with profound devotion, strong aspirations, and great diligence. The retreat concluded auspiciously with an elaborate ganachakra offering ceremony.
