On the morning of March 1, 2025, marking the dawn of the auspicious first day of the Tibetan new year in the sign of the Female Wood Snake, the monastic community of Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat performed a smoke offering ritual. This sacred ceremony included offerings and praises to the Three Roots to invoke their enlightened activity, as well as an exhortation to the oath-bound Dharma protectors through the power of truth.
Following these preliminary rituals, the resident and visiting monastics, along with devoted lay followers, presented ceremonial scarves at the throne of the Lord of the Teachings, Guru Vajradhara His Holiness the 12th Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa. Once everyone was seated according to the monastery's traditional arrangement, auspicious ceremonial tea and sweet rice were served to the entire assembly, accompanied by elaborately arranged platters of traditional delicacies. Thus, the celebration of the Female Wood Snake New Year was observed in a joyous atmosphere.
