On March 20, 2026, in the great shrine hall of Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat in India, and in the presence of the assembled tulkus, lamas, khenpos, and the entire monastic community, a formal handover ceremony was held between the outgoing and incoming General Discipline Masters.

During the ceremony, the outgoing Discipline Master formally handed over the precious "Rules of Discipline." The incoming Discipline Master accepted it through a formal recitation of the rules, thereby assuming the responsibilities of the office of General Discipline Master and commencing his duties.
