In accordance with the annual tradition at Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat's Dönnyi Norbui Gatsal University of Buddhist Sciences of organizing specialized training workshops in Tibetan medicine and astrology through inviting expert instructors, the second such intensive training program was held from March 11 to 20 of this year.

The program brought together the university's medicine and astrology staff members, as well as all third-batch students, who received instruction from both the university's own medicine and astrology faculty and a team of specially invited expert instructors: Doctor Tseyang, Master Physician Tsewang Rigdzin, Master Physician Sonam Dolkar Oshoe, Master Physician Kunga Bartso, and Master Astrologer Kunga Dondrub. Through clear and accessible presentations, these instructors delivered guided instruction, practical training, and question-and-answer sessions on the theory and application of Tibetan medical and astrological sciences. The program covered ten topics pertaining to the medical science, eight to astrology, two topics integrating medicine and astrology, and one related to physical exercise.

In addition, the participants had the great fortune to receive reading transmissions of several medical treatises from our own tradition, composed by Je Ön Karma Ngeleg, the brother of Situ Panchen, and by Jamgön Kongtrul.
