From April 1 to 7, 2026, Guru Vajradhara His Holiness Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa, the holder of the secret treasury of pith instructions of the definitive meaning of Mahamudra, bestowed the eighth year of the transmission of the "Mahamudra: Ocean of Definitive Meaning," a treatise summarizing the essence of the all sutras, tantras, and pith instructions, to students from all corners of the world who had received any of the previous Mahamudra transmissions. This transmission was requested by numerous devoted international disciples and organized by the Palpung Institute of Buddhist Studies at the Leela Ambience Convention Hotel in Delhi, India.

By integrating the hearing lineage instructions of the ocean of Kagyu siddhas, originating from Saraha, Maitripa, and other masters, and transmitted through Lord Marpa the Translator, with his own experience and practical examples, supported by reasoning and illustrations, Guru Vajradhara made the teachings exceptionally clear and easy to understand.

During this year's transmission, Guru Vajradhara provided complete instructions and guided meditation sessions presenting, in a clear, extensive, and comprehensive manner, the beginning section of the final stages of the practice according to the "Mahamudra Ocean of Definitive Meaning," comprising several introductions to the nature of mind.
